For most of my life, functioning under pressure felt like a strength.
For a long time, I carried it well. From the outside, everything looked fine - good career, independent, capable. But beneath that was a quiet, constant pressure that never really switched off. The kind that doesn't announce itself. It just hums in the background, keeping you functional but never fully free.
I found breathwork the way a lot of people do - at a point where something had to give. My first experiences were with conscious connected breathwork from the Holotropic lineage, and it was genuinely powerful. For the first time I had a way to express what I'd been holding. And expression… even without resolution… felt better than the alternative.
But the change didn't last. I'd leave a session feeling cracked open, and within a few weeks or months the pressure would quietly return. I kept wondering if I was doing something wrong. If I just needed to go harder, feel more, push deeper.
Turns out, the pressure I was putting on myself was completely unnecessary.
When I discovered Breathwork Mastery - the RBM approach - everything shifted. Not dramatically. Quietly. Which was exactly the point.
I learned that I didn't need pressure to be successful. That there was a more intelligent, more subtle way to work with the nervous system - one that didn't require intensity to create change. A gentle nasal technique that had integration built into the process and went straight to the source. For the first time, I wasn't making things happen. This is why I do this work.
Because I know what it's like to be the strong one. To hold everything together so well that nobody - including yourself - realises how much you're carrying. And I know that the way through isn't more effort. It's less resistance.
